I asked this question earlier but I guess I should have explained more. I asked how you would translate "The Spanish Club" in Spanish because someone told me it's "El Club Hispanico". To me that didn't seem right. Is this correct?

People told me it is "El Club de Espanol" (with the little ~ mark above the n) I know but I'm asking is "El Club Hispanico" right also? Does that even make sense? That is my question.

If it's a club for people learning the Spanish language: Club de Español.
Club Hispánico or Hispano would mean Hispanic Club, for Spanish-speaking people in another country, or maybe to study something related with the Hispanic culture.
And Club Español would mean for Spaniards, from Spain.

Your question is a very good one.
"El Club Hispanico" means a HIspanic Club, either a get together or a night club.
If you want to refer to a Spanish Club in school: here's how:
Technically, if you want to be nit-picky--El Club del Espanol(with the tilde over the "n")
But-a native speaker probably would not include the "el" there making it-
"El Club de Espanol (with a tilde)."

I would say "El Club Hispano" if you are talking about a club for Spanish speakers to go to and "El Club Hispanico" for a Spanish cultural institute for foreigners.

"El club espanol" (using the tilde (~) over the n) would be better, otherwise you would mean "The Hispanic Club". "El club espanol" written the way I said would be pronounced "ehl cloob ehspaNIOL", a as in "father". The word order may seem weird to you, but is common for pairs of adjectives and nouns in Spanish -it makes more sense, like saying, in this case "the club (that is) spanish". If, on the other hand, you mean a club of/for talking spanish, you would rather say "El grupo de espanol" (again ~).

"El club de Español" o "El club del Español"
If you say "el club español" it could mean the Spanish club as in coming from Spain. " El club Hispanico " would be related to ethnicity, not to language.
