I'm 5' 10.5'' and I'm currently 138 pounds. I exercise regularly and I'm on a mainly vegan diet. However, due to anemia, I have to eat at least 3 oz. of red meat a day. I've been a beginning model for about 6 months now. I think I look healthy, but my agent wants me to weigh 120. I don't think i can lose 18 pounds by the deadline I've been given, which is in about 6 weeks. I run everyday, I do sit ups and streches, and I'm also in kung fu. These activities are causing my to "buff up" and the muscle is making me look bulky. Also, after doing stomach exercises, my waistline seems to grow by an inch or more. I know that muscle is heavier than fat, and that's why I don't think i can lose the weight. Do I need to just stop exercising? Or are there any diet pills that work good and are healthy? It's mainly my waistline. It's 27 inches now and she wants it to be 23-25. I don't know what to do to lose the inches, and the harder I exercise, the *more* weight I gain. Help?

You can Lose 9 lbs every 11 days after you know these facts:
Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.........
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.
Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK........
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.
Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.......
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.
In fact, the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!

Find a new agent and try to change the way you view yourself! I'm sure you are gorgeous and don't need to do a thing. It's time models stood up for what's right.
Look at these boards and all of the questions young women have about feeling too fat. It's crazy.
You are the talent... they need you. The ball is in your court to start making a change in the media and in society. Tell your agent to kiss your perfect butt and find a new agent who will represent a normal, healthy, beautiful young model such as yourself. The way you look affects all the young women who see you and view you as the standard. Please be a good role model.

Dump your modeling agent! At 5 foot 10 inches and one-half, 120 pounds is too thin. If you think you look healthy, then you are! Many American women and American modeling agents are too hung up with the "Twigy" look. All the beauties people remember, Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo, etc. wore sizes 12 to 16 in clothing. They had curves, 36-24-36 and sometimes larger.
Do not jeopardize your health for a modeling career that will not accept you for who you are.
If your heart is set on modeling, try modeling for local clothing stores.
And, a good Vitamin B12 with help with the Anemia (Be sure to check with your doctor before using this).

you sound very healthy!i wish i could be that inspired lol!
Personally, I dont think you should loose weight as you sound perfectly healthy as you are.
But, if you really want to loose the weight, try cutting out some of the excersise.....things such as jogging and swimming will help keep you healthy but will give your stomach muscles a bit of a rest, helping you loose a bit of those chunky muscles. Also, if you cut out some excersise, you will find you dont need to eat as much as you wont need as much energy, therefore helping you to loose some weight. Make sure to keep an eye on your anemia though.....nothing is worth making yourself ill for.

Girl, I know its hard but you have to accept yourself the way you are. If you are dieting and dieting, exersising and u have nothing but muscle your not meant to lose more weight. Your agent needs to understand that, and if she cant accept that she needs to open up her eyes because your body is not made for that. You are a healthy weight. Dont starve yourself or anything. Mabye if she cant accept it look for different agents that can accept you. Your beautiful the way you are, dont change that. After all it is better to be healthy.

Tell your agent that you are healthy and do not need to lose weight. If he/she still says to do it, just ignore 'em. Or get a different agent.

Get yourself another agent!! This one will end up killing you. You don't need to lose and ounce, your weight is fine for your height, and you are healthy, stay that way and tell your agent to take a hike.

I personally do not like models that look anorexic, but American modeling agencies don't seem to agree. When I see an ad on TV or in the newspaper with an absurdly skinny girl with her ribs showing, I do not think "healthy". "Healthy" means an average weight, not overweight, but not anorexic either.
