have him checked for ear infections that can cause teeth discomfort and grinding them relieves the hurt in the middle ear. or it could just be that he just found out what it does and it amazes him. try gently with you thumb and index finger squeezing his cheecks together to make a fish face and tell him thats not nice or thats bad. if he keeps doing it squeeze harder each time. keep it up and eventually he should stop if not take him to the dentist.

7 years ago I've been involved in a car wreck and even since suffered with severe on and off facial and jaw pain. I've tried almost everything western medicine had to offer and had visited countless of specialist, had done ct scans, and therapies but to no avail. The doctors I have been to had persisted that there wasn't anything wrong with me and that almost drove me crazy as I was going through hell from this condition. According to all my symptoms I was diagnosed by a holistic doctor as having TMJ and he had recommended this book to me. After following the recommendation in the book for several weeks, it had changed my life. I got immediate relief after following the unique set of exercises in the book and after 2 weeks the jaw and face pain had completely gone. I only wish I would have ordered this program years ago. It would have saved me a lot of pain and anguish.

even though the reason being, i might propose a visit to the dentist. Grinding your tooth will harm them plus you are able to chip the front edges which might require high priced elegance artwork. You dentist will make you a shield which you positioned on over your greater or decrease tooth in mattress of a evening. It purely takes a evening or 2 to get used to it even yet it fairly is well worth it.

you should tell him in a understanble way that if he doesnt grind his teeth for one whole day you would get him a toy or ect. and then keep rewarding him until his body gets used to that good habit. or you could take him to the dentist and have the dentist show him how his teeth will turn out to look when he grows up if he keeps doing it.
hoped i helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i dont think you can get him to stop but i think you should et him a night mouth guard to prevent damage to his teeth. im not a dr but he could also have something called tmj contact your dr and ask some questions just to be on th safe side.

I doubt that he's still teething, but perhaps you could find him a binky. And consult your doctor, or even something online. I'm sure the answer is simple.
