Although I'm not a doctor, my guess would be that the gastric juice coming up your throat is sour, which stimulates the salivary glands. When I vomit, I tend to lose a bit of the muscle control in my face, which is why I drool. I also cry, because the fumes from the gastric juice stings my eyes.

the salivary glands go into overdrive to produce enough saliva to prevent gastric juices from burning the mucous membranes in your mouth and throat. It is a protective mechanism.

Haha I thought it only happend to me! I think its to try and prevent burning while the stomach acid and stuff are comming up. Kinda like to add a "coating"

i dont drool b4 i throw up maybe its certain ppl and theymight bc there either afriad to swallow or there throat wont let them
