Although a persons relationship with the Creator is personal, the scriptures point to 'taking in knowledge' of God and Jesus. So, if someone came to witness, I would ask them what they rest their beliefs on. If they are unbalanced 'holy rollers' preaching only from their hearts, with no real basis from what the bible teaches, then I would stop them right there. But, if they could point out scriptures from the bible that I could learn from then I would humbly accept. Even Jesus went to the synagogue to learn and to pray. Who am I to think that I am above him or know better?!

By the way, as for the term 'witness', Jesus is referred to as the Faithful Witness at Revelations 1:5, and John 4:44 states that Jesus bore witness. And at Isaiah 43:10 God states 'you are my witnesses...'

id ask, "why did god give samson the strength to kill 1000 philistines if killing is a sin? how come god killed thousands in the flood and many other instances throughout the OT and yet in the NT hes proclaimed a loving and merciful god? how come there is a dramatic change in the attitude of god between the 2 sections of scripture all the while u claim hes unchanging, if god is not evil then why did he create it and allow it to thrive?"

I hate that term "witnessing".

"When can I set up a meeting with God?"

God and I could then work out the details on our own.

If in Texas:
"Do you know that Texas law says that you trespassing on my property is grounds for me to shoot you?"
If not:
"I ordered Chinese food, not door-to-door dead person kebab. Did you get the order wrong?"

You presume I would have any interest. I would not. My only question would be "go away."
