I exercise everyday. I do 45 minutes cardio and then I lift weights. I work and go to school so my schedule is kinda messed up. Throughout the day I eat salads, sandwiches, veggies, fruits, and other healthy things and I drink lots of water. By the time I get home and exercise and the cook, I eat at like 8:00 at night. Is this bad? I'm trying to lose weight. Should I eat before I go workout? That way I'm not eating late.

Time of Day
Will all calories you eat after 6 p.m. turn to fat? Does breakfast have to be at 7 a.m. and lunch at noon? No. Time of day doesn't matter, as long as your body gets the nutrients and calories it needs.
The recommendation to not eat late at night is aimed at curbing couch potato behavior like downing a bag of chips during ER or polishing off a sundae with Seinfeld reruns.
Research shows that many people who eat too much eat many of their calories in the evening hours. If you overeat, no matter the time of day, the extra calories are stored as fat. But eating at night is a must for many athletes whose schedules don't fit into conventional meal times. For example, if you practice until 7 p.m. and don't have an appetite until 10 p.m., then it is wise to eat a late meal. Otherwise, you deprive your body of needed nutrients and inhibit recovery.
The most important thing is to get the nutrients you need, even if it's late in the day.

It depends on when you sleep. If you sleep very late at night. The carbs from the dinner you ate will be used. But, if you go to sleep soon after that, the carbs will turn into fat. You should regularly eat 3 times a day(well at least a little).
But with the ammount of sport you're doing, you're definately on the right track of loosing weight the right way =]
Good Luck

You should eat before you work out, but not right before, maybe an hour. You shouldn't eat after 8 or 9. You can have a snack if you get hungry, but eating too close to bedtime will make you gain weight.

Dont forget to eat lean meats like chicken breast and fish. It is not that its bad to eat at night what is bad is to eat then go to bed right after. You want to wait tell you have digested the food until lay down and sleep. Also try not to eat right before a workout. Your body shunts a lot of blood to the kidneys and stomach to digest food and when you work out your body needs to shunt a lot of blood to muscles. Seeing is how we dont have enough blood for both you should only do one or the other.
Try going to these forums they will teach you a lot about losing weight.

Yes, eat before you workout and have a light snack after wards. That is the worst thing to eat late and then go to bed. If your still active after you eat late then your fine but if that's the time when you settle down, then eat before your workout.

Very bad. Because after you eat you go to bed with a full stomach and that gains you weight. If you want to eat late take a walk after dont just sit at a couch. Do some exercise or try some hunger control stuff

If you eat right before bed your body doesn't have the time to burn the calories you just consumed so if you're trying to lose weight it is bad.

When you eat is less important than what you eat. It is the total caloric intake for the day that counts, whether you eat it all at one sitting at midnight, or disperse it through out the day.

Well it depends on what time you go to bed. you should give your stomach at least an hour to digest food before you go to bed otherwise it will turn into fat.
