Ideas for wedding/reception locations in Southern California?

My bf and I will be getting engaged later this year (shh - don't tell anyone!), so we have been discussing possible locations and dates to get married next year. We (and by "we" I mean "I") were thinking of an outdoor wedding in spring or summer. We had been considering Laguna Beach (on the beach for the wedding), but then read somewhere that they won't allow chairs for people to sit in during the ceremony. Also heard that Laguna Beach only has very expensive reception places. Does anyone have any ideas (preferrably in Orange County)?

Try the Montage Hotel in Laguna (it's located on PCH). They have a gorgeous area where you can get married. Not sure what the going price is, but I do believe people can sit during the ceremony. Your best bet is to try for hotels with outdoor areas if you want people to sit during the ceremony. I just went to one in San Diego. Also try the Ritz Carlton.

We got married at the Reef Restaurant in Long Beach. It's right next to the Queen Mary. They have a roof-top wedding site with a gazebo, and also another outdoor area for a wedding. Ours was indoors, it's a pretty nice place, the view overlooks the shore of Long Beach, and it's gorgeous when the sun goes down. The food was great, the catering office is the best, and the prices were reasonable!

Also, since I just mentioned it, how about trying the Queen Mary?

Mission San Juan Capistrano is a beautiful location. Near by is a restaurant called El Adobe. They have a nice area for a wedding reception. The gardens and great weather are what I think really do it for the location. Also, if people are coming from out of town, it would be a great area for them see for the first time. Granted, it is not on the beach, but personally, I think the mission would be a very nice location for a classy wedding!
