Hi a good question and one that any consultant should be able to give you on enquiry of their services.

Charges can vary according to the Consultant's experience level however based on my knowledge and experience in the industry the fee for a 3 bedroom home can be from $300 to $800, however that is not to say that some may charge more also.

The fees may be charged on an hourly rate calculation and the hourly rate is approx $100 to $200, however some may charge more or possibly less depending on experience levels.

Those who have also answered this question mentioned to get some books. I always suggest to my clients to read up a little via the books, however when it comes to authentic practices, they are too difficult to explain in books for the general reading. Many of the experienced consultants spend thousands of dollars on quality teaching from Masters to learn this science in a lot more detail. It could be seen as complex as studying the human body and it's workings!

The books only give a basic understanding and can't be substituted for a quality consultation. You can compare this to reading a book about a body ailment and after trying some things yourself as a self cure, you may eventually need to go to the doctor for a quality assessment.
Neither are wrong, there is a need for both, however gaining quality guidance up front could save you time and energy later.

I hope this helps,
Wishing you good health, abundant wealth and lasting happiness.
Priscilla

You might have better luck looking at some Feng Shui books at your local bookstore or library. Might save you some money in the long run. Here is a potential resource to check out: http://www.fengshuinews.com/directory.htm
