Does anyone know how much it is to get your teeth bleached? I'm not worried about how much insurance will pay and then how much it will be, I just wanna know how much it is to get it done? And does it make your teeth like ultrasensitive or anything?

There are several ways to go about teeth-bleaching. Insurance will not pay for it.... it is a cosmetic procedure. If you want to have it done at a dentist's office, a one-time bleaching procedure costs around $500 (depending upon where you live). They will put a solution on your teeth and then apply a "light" over your mouth. You'll have to sit for an hour or more to get the results in one day.

Another method dentists use it to make a mold of your teeth and construct two trays - one for upper, one for lower. They then give you a kit with peroxide gel that you use at home for 30 minutes each night. It takes about 6 days to see the full result. There is some sensitivity of the gums in most cases. This method costs around $300.

An easy, inexpensive and effective way is to use Crest Whitestrips. It takes several weeks of using these daily to see the full results, but they do work and they are afforable. Good luck!

My dentist charged me $99 to get my teeth bleached; however, I think the price can vary greatly depending on the dentist. Also, during the time that I was going through the bleaching process (I can't quite remember but I think it was 5-6 days) my teeth were ultrasensitive but it went away once the bleaching was finished. My dentist did tell me that people react differly to the bleach and only some people experience any sensitivity. If you do experience the ultrasensitivity, the dentist does have something available to minimize the discomfort.

Before you go spend all your money on *bleach* to whiten your teeth, try an at-home remedy first.

Do you own a box of baking soda? Do you own a bottle of peroxide?

If so, then make a paste with the baking soda and peroxide and brush your teeth with it a few times a week. It *should* whiten your teeth, and leave them bright and shiney.

But if this does not work, then go on down to the dentist and do the bleaching thing. I think it'll probably cost around 400 dolllars (that's just a rough estimate, in my head). It could be less.

Bleach is basic, no longer acidic, even nevertheless it fairly is going to do much greater injury to you than good. POISON! that's loopy. generally while a dentist bleaches your tooth it rather is with a non-bleach answer alongside with hydrogen peroxide. do never use universal bleach on or on your physique!

Insurance does not cover bleaching because it is considered cosmetic. Nite white runs $475 and Lumaarch Lazer bleach runs $675
