Why would there be a black helicopter flying close above my apartment at 3:15 in the morning ?

Depends on where you live. Was it hovering, flying slowly, flying fast? Is there an EMS operator in your community? Do the cops have helicopters? Does the fire department have helicopters? Do the news channels have helicopters?
I fly at 3:15 almost every week. Not a big deal, and it doesn't involve you personally. Not this time, anyway.

It might be a cop helicopter or a swat team helicopter. That happened before around my house. We were outside at the time and we were waving at it and stuff, but it was only after that we found out a prisoner got out of a prison about 20 miles away, so who knows?

hey dude remember this question. there might be a time you'll be in need of helicopter flying nearby to someone's apartment. maybe you'll get involved in the car crash, maybe heartattack. I know such folks, building their houses near to an airbase and wondering wotta hell all the noise around means?

The last time I had a black chopper over my house were US Army black hawks on their yearly drug sweeps in the area. and there were two of them.
