Genesis 6:7 Sons of God & Daughters of Men
When mankind began to multiply on the earth and daughters
were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man
were beautiful, and they took any they chose as wives for themselves. And the Lord said, "My Spirit will not remain with mankind forever, because they are corrupt.Their days will be
120 years." The Nephilim were on the earth both in those days and aftewards, when the sons of God came to the daughters of man, who bore children to them. They were the powerful men of old, the famous men.

Most simplest, direct and easy explanation is that, these are not words of God..

The sons of God were spirit creatures...they materialized human bodies, and went taking all the women they wanted. It was not by choice of the women. The offspring were giants and were called Nephilim (means Fellers; those who cause others to fall down)

1 Peter 3:19 & 20: "In this [state] also he went his way and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who had once been disobedient when the patience of God was waiting in Noah’s days, while the ark was being constructed, in which a few people, that is, eight souls, were carried safely through the water." (notice that Peter mentioned that they were spirits)

Jude 6: "And the angels that did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place he has reserved with eternal bonds under dense darkness for the judgment of the great day."

2 Peter 2:4 & 5: "4 Certainly if God did not hold back from punishing the angels that sinned, but, by throwing them into Tar′ta·rus, delivered them to pits of dense darkness to be reserved for judgment; 5 and he did not hold back from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people; "

These Nephilim, the giant offspring of human women and the materialized fallen angels are probably where many of the Roman and Greek mythology originated. These giants as well as their fathers were mean and wicked and violent...stories of these times have been passed down for generations since Noah and his family were the only ones to survive the flood. I am sure they told their kids and grandkids...and on and on it went...men of fame (infamous)

The Nephilim were actually the sons born and were hybrids being both flesh and spirit. As such, they were all unable to reproduce. They were bullies and killers and extremely violent. Because of all the violence in the Earth, God decided to wipe out the human race with the exception of Noah and his family.

This was an attempt by satan to corrupt all human blood, thereby severing the line through which christ would come. At the time the arc was completed, Noah and his family were the only pure humans left. Everyone else was corrupted with some degree of angel. Christ had to come from pure human lineage.

Nephiliums were giants, who didn't follow God. Older records stated they were mixtures between angels and man. They chose to be their own gods and many worshipped them.

The Sons of God were men who followed God's teachings. They started falling in love with the daughters of Man, who were women who weren't following the ways of God. these women lived for the fleshy desires. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to realize that most Men are weak when encountering the sexual desires of women. A woman without God would do pretty much anything. The poor men are tempted and slipped into those fleshy ways.

Now think about it and tell me that you don't see that happening nowadays.

A simple explanation is they were fallen angels that followed Satan. Satan has tried to corrupt the blood line since the time of Adam and Eve. That's why Jesus blood was not of man but God.

One possibility is the race of adam and eve are not the only humans on earth, but are the chosen humans of God's providence and spiritual lineage.

Otherwise, it's incomprehensible.
