It's probably her anal glands. I have a page on my website all about them. Check it out! But I do recommend you take her to the vet.

You either need to have her anal glands empted or you need to switch her food. I have an English Bulldogand their anal glands can get really stinky. I also have noticed she can smell a little funky if she gets food that is not great for her, like if she picks food off the floor or gets in the cat food

is it a VERY strong, very unpleasant fishy odor? if so, it is the anal glands. dogs have glands that are supposed to be emptied when they poo, but sometimes they get clogged and the smell stays around. i think bulldogs are actually prone to it. a groomer or vet can express the glands (and they can teach you how to do it at home, but EW!). if that is the smell you are experiencing, bathing isn't going to stop it from coming back. ask your vet!

I would recommend changing her diet. I had a dg that I got as an adult and he stank. I thought it was just his coat so batyhed him and it made no difference. It took two weeks for the smell to go. Previously he had been fed on mince. I had him on a premium kibble and he stopped smelling.

My neighbor has a dog that has a skin disorder. The only shampoo that keeps him from not being stinky is one that she gets from her vet but I don't remember what its called!

Have the vet express the anal glands.
