Just imagine ladies, you got bf in a wheelchair. he can't dress self, feed self, brush teeth self, lift arms self, etc. But he's very sweet, honest, smart, all good emotional things all you girls look for in a perfect guy. most of the day, an aide helps him. you help him after you get home from work, after aide leaves. helping him can be hard sometimes but you love him and are glad to do it. aide helps with most things during day. you can come home relax, take a nice shower, get comfortable. then aide leaves for night and you got him all to yourself. he is sexually attracted to you, he says such sweet things to you, and soothes yr mind with his soft loving words. you assist him with things but you hardly notice, bc yr near him and you love him. you feed him during a romantic dinner, you look into each others eyes. you help him in bed at night and help him do whatever else. you get into something sexy, you see he likes. and you can take total control, kiss him, etc. your thoughts?

He sounds wonderful. He is emotionally involved even if the physical parts don't work very well. Tender emotions and words have a huge impact. Love, kindness, understanding and communication will sustain a relationship. All else can be worked out somehow. Love is the magic and the key.

I think you have a true understanding of what love is. I cared for my wife during terminal illness and could care less what she became physically. As long as their heart still beats they can show you a love that goes beyond this world and it's something no one understands until their heart is capable of the same. I commend you for finding someone that has taught you or caused you to realize that you have enough love in your heart to see beyond what a person is physically. It is an understanding that some people will not have until they meet their maker.

why are you making such an issue of the fact that he is in a wheelchair.......if this is a real life situation you are dealing with and you love him as you said in the question.......then stop treating him like a thing in a wheelchair and start treating him like a person......if you love him and he loves you.....the wheelchair issue is minor......yes there is a lot to deal with being involved with someone that has to spend their days in wheelchair and requires help for things we take for granted........but it can be as big or as small an issue as you make it......

If you're willing to take his disability and love him just the same. You are a truly warm hearted person. Know that you're relationship will be hard. But odds are he loves you just as much as you love him, and that's the only thing that matters. Congrats to you dear, for being a true hearted person, and for loving for love, not for appearences.

Do you love this man or are you just curious about being with a quadraplegic? Keep your head out of the clouds sistergirl... whatever decision you make will affect not only you... but the man you say you care for. Watch it.
