God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and has been since the beginning of time. I know that there is one true church that is exactly what God set up and Jesus taught when he came to earth. It only makes sense, why would God tell one church to do something and another church something else like infant baptism for example. It doesnt go along with the way God works when he said that he is the same.

Well I am happy that there is only one true religion for you But millions of other people would disagree that your religion is the only true one. Maybe you should just accept the fact that not everyone believes what you do, some people may think that the bible is nothing else than a fiction book.
While you know that there is only one true church, I know that there are millions of Church's and places of worship and all their followers believe they are right. And I choose to not fight over who is right because there will be no winner, only a fight and I don't think your god wanted to you be mean or indignite to others beliefs.

I know!! I wish that others would see the way that we do. Take Catholics for example: they still have so-called priests, but why? Jesus is our High Priest! No one else can forgive us of our sins. And the infant baptism thing, how can a baby ask for forgiveness or say that they believe in God. We are only cleansed by His blood, and that washes us when we confess we are sinners and ask Him to forgive us. Other people don't believe that Jesus gives the spiritual gift of prophecy, but the Bible says different. When questioned about their beliefs, they only disagree; they have no Biblical evidence to support their claims. There should be no divsions or denominations among us if we are worshipping the same God.
Love you and God Bless!!

It's not actually God telling one church to do something different from another church. It's "man" who change God's laws. One man will not agree with the teaching of another man about God's laws and the one that disagrees will form his own religion base on the way he thinks is right. why do you think we have so many religion when we worship the same God? it's man who makes everything complicated.

well what is the one true religion? The belief in God? There are many types of religion that believes in God. Is it one of the many types of Christianity? I'm kinda confused here.

I'm so over religion, can't we come up with something else, because it's obvious that none of them work. Instead of solving the same issues that keep popping up over the centuries they seem to exacerbate them.

so your saying catholicism is wrong. Which means that no religion is correct because every christ based religion split from catholicism. There is no way god set up "christianity" because it didn't exist for a few hundred years after christ died. Catholicism would be your logical choice for the one true religion, but it isn't. Oh and I'm an Atheist.

If I was looking for one true religion, I'd go as far away from Christianity as possible. Its texts not only contradict themselves more than any major organized religion, it also, largely due to the direction and complexity of some of its texts, contradicts worldly knowledge many times.

All this aside, many, myself included, would still have their morality even if they did not have their logic. Christianity, and any Old Testament Abrahamic religion in general, is so morally twisted it is astounding.

I agree with you, God is one and so His basic message aslo is one..
Now what criteria you have to test which message is true? People have tendency to set the criteria which mostly suites the religion they want to believe.
