take a shower at night so your hair is wet. once it is wet (not dripping wet) put in a bunch of hair gel in your hair and make sure it is even threw out. part down the middle and french braid. sleep with your hair in braids and then up braid when you wake up. if you think you need extra hold spray with a flexible hold hairspray.
my friend scrunches her hair all the time and it turns out great! hope this helped!

Wash and condition your hair.
Squeeze the excess water out. To scrunch it, you want it damp but not soaking wet or dripping.
Wrap your hair in a small towel. Do not rub your hair at all with the towel. What you can do is wring it within the towel if the ends are still dripping.
Comb your fingers or a wide-tooth comb through your hair and make a part as best as you can. Don't worry if it's not perfect.
Spray hairspray in your hair. Put it near the middle and bottom of your hair. Putting it too close to your roots will cause it to look greasy and weighed down.
Turn your head upside down so that your hair is hanging down.
Put in your hands and rub them together to spread the gel.
Grab a small handful of hair by the ends and push it up toward the head. Hold it in place for a few moments while aiming the hair dryer at it to 'set' the gel/mousse/hair spray.
Repeat this all over your head, reapplying the gel every time.
Keep in mind that small handfuls yield tighter waves and large handfuls create full, loose waves.
use herbal essences totally twisted hair scrunching gel!

I have really thick, wavy hair and I use Garnier Fructis Soft Curl. It comes in a little green jar and you don't have to use a lot. I do't like using gel or mousse because of the "crunchy" effect it has. Soft Curl makes it look like you don't have anything in your hair and it makes your hair really curly. I use enough of it to make the palms of your hands solid white when you rub them together and finger-comb it through your hair first. Then get a little bit more on your hands and scrunch it. Keep doing that for a few minutes and then use Aussie's Instant Freeze hairspray and scrunch it some more. Looks awesome and works best with soaking wet hair...just not dripping too much.

whatever dont listen to the first person their just rude. Use curling, mosturizing shampoo and conditioner. When you step out of the shower comb through your hair and towel dry it. Use biosilk silk drops and put it throughout your hair. Brush hair again. Pantene Pro-v has the best scrunching gel. Lean to the side and scrunch you hair(kinda like bunching it up next your head. Do it all over your hair, then do it again but with gel in your hands. After you scrunch all over you head with gel, scrunch again without gel. Spray hair all over with aussie Sprunch hair spray. If you need your hair dryer use a hair diffusing blow dryer and scrunch hair while holding the diffusing end up to your head.Keep a small bottle of hairspray and de-frizzing cream in your purse.

The absolute best is a product called Curl Booster scrunching spray from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens, etc.

comb it as usual and then when you are putting in the styling products, put your head upside down (by putting your face towards your knees) and then add the gel or mouse but scruch upwards on your hair (toward your scalp) while it's upside down. Then spray hairspray with your head still upside down from your tips to your roots and keep scrunching. That should hold it and give you more volume too! Also if youre going to blow dry, blow dry it upside down while scrunching as you dry.

wash you hair(do not dry it). brush hair. gel your hair in a right now down action like the variety you may brush it. then positioned your hair in 4 sections(extra or much less reckoning on how lots hair you have) braid each and every section. and then gel each and every section returned with the braids in. sleep on it in one day. once you awaken gel each and every braid returned. then take the braids out and you will have a veryy stunning scrunch on your hair! then hairspray it and/or gel it. then type your hair the variety you like it. wish i could help. this works for me :)

i would start off with a detangler before you cake gel in it then instead of using your fingers to scrunch it put your hand underneath a towel....It works for me! it gets it so curly Also get a hair dryer that has a defusser. it makes it less ratty and frizzy

you can try using aussie scrunch spray. spray it by layer. like tie two thirds of your hair up and while its wet or damp spray it. then before moving on to the next layer, use a maximum holding spray (i like rave 4x). then do this to all of your hair. if you can, bring hair products with you to wherever you go and touch it up every couple hours or so
