Take the E train south from Penn Station (Macy's is 1 block east and 1 block north from Penn Station) to WTC Cortland St (It's the last stop).
There is a fire house on Greenwich and Liberty right across from the WTC sight. It has a memorial plaque with the fallen firefighters on it.

As everyone else has said, taking the E-train to the end of the line is the easiest way to get to Ground Zero. While you're there, it's worth paying $1.50 to go into the PATH commuter rail station which is right inside the ruins. (The station used to be underground, but it's not an open air station.) It gives you an up-close perspective on things.
There are fire stations all over New York. If you are particularly interested in the fire connection to 9/11, I'd suggest you check out the FDNY Museum, which is in a retired fire station on Spring Street (about a block and a half west of the Spring Street E-train station) in SoHo. They have a great exhibit on 9/11 that is both moving and tasteful as well as other fascinating exhibits on firefighting and rescue in general.

RE:
Ground Zero Directions?
I'm coming to New York City next month for the first time. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get from Macy's to Ground Zero? Also, are there any fire stations located near Macy's or Ground Zero?

Take Train E Ground Zero Bound and you'll get there in about 10-25 mins.
IF your driving from around 34th STreet.. Take it towards the Midtown tunnel and finish 34th Street.. Where it ends, it's called the FDR and the light make a left. Now your on the FDR south. You'll going to pass the Williamsburg,Manhattan, and Brooklyn Brg and you're going to go under the "underpass" when you get out about 5 mins north is Groudn Zero.... Make sure your on West Street

If you want to walk (highly bad if not avid walker) then you should head Downtown down Broadway, Then turn right onto Vessy Street and you can't miss it. If you go by Subway then you need to take the E Train.
