do I seem like a fluffy Bunny to you? (If you dont know what that means Please Do not take Bunny literally)
The term "fluffy bunny" is used within Neopaganism as a partially humorous label for the tendency for paganism to be viewed in a New Age "sweetness and light" manner. Adherents to Wicca and other aspects of paganism who tend to look primarily upon the positive aspects of the faith, while downplaying the more serious, traditional aspect, are often dubbed "fluffy bunnies" in a manner similar to usage of the term fanboy.
The term "fluffy bunny" is also used in a light-hearted manner by pagans who criticize and mock the tendency towards being too "serious" in the pagan community. Self-deprecating humor, they note, is a way of letting off steam.

You don't seem fluffy to me. I mean, fluffy to me, is like Al Manning's Helping Yourself With White Witchcraft where he includes poems about Gronkydoodles.

Now *that* is fluffy. So are fairies, gnomes, and trolls IMO. But then I'm a fluffy optimist so I probably shouldn't talk. :)

The term originated because of the positivity that relates to Wicca and Neopaganism. In reality true paganism is not all positive and "do as thy will but harm none is just a load of crap". As in everything in life it is about balance. There cannot be anything positive if there is not anything negative. A real Pagan will not hesitate to strike at an enemy if necessary. Gerald Gardner invented Wicca to try to attempt to make it more acceptable to the rest of the world with all of its goodness and light. Life is not that way.

i think people take religion to seriously most of the time, but tend to think these terms that develop outside of a certain community are intended to be insulting. sounds somewhat like the use of the term "jewish mother" in my faith, or term "b*tch" in modern use. both can be self depreciating humor, which doesn't bother me (i actually take jewish mother as a compliment), but it would depend on the intent of the person using the term. still, fluffy bunny sounds somewhat synonymous with being optimistic, which in my opinion is a positive quality and could be taken as a compliment regardless of who said it.

Hello Bobby. I think you are a good kid who has a mind of his own and chooses to accept what seems logical to you and reject what sounds illogical to you. Anyway fluffy bunnies are nice and cute lol. Anyway that's what I think about you Bobby. You seem like a good kid who has a good head on his shoulders. I also like the fact that you don't go around judging people. You're cool in my book dude.

I don't know you enough, but:
http://www.cuew.org/archives/003296.html
In part:
....As time went on, the term was also used to include the new agers who bled into Wicca- the believers in the Golden Age Matriarchy and the Paleolithic cult from the FICTION of Jean Auel, the believers in nine million "wise women" killed and those who truncated the Wiccan Rede into "harm none." These people were not termed Fluffy bunnies by virtue of their beliefs, but by virtue of hubris- of overweening pride in the correctness of their views and the hell with the rest of us.
The definition of fluffy bunny was simple- those who believe stuff despite mountains of evidence to the contrary and are nasty and bitter to those who disagree with them. Think of the Bunny in Monty Python's Holy Grail....so cute, with grreat big teeth, out to attack people without bottles of Chambord to throw at them (I digress again...)
This extensive definition is because the term fluffy bunny, and the term non-fluffy, have been redefined by the very people who it was first used upon, and this means the word is now dead in the water, tainted beyond recognition and turned 100% meaningless.
[I do not include in this redefintion war nonfluffy.com, which predates the redefinition.]
Fluffy Bunny is now used as a term of social control by authoritarian pseudotraditionalists (in my experience, people claiming membership in BTW and various FMTs who do not turn out to actually be members of British Witchcraft or Familial Magical Traditions under actual examination) and is used to refer to members of traditions they dislike, members of their own traditions (or those they pretend to) who they disagree with, people new to Wicca and, in short, anyone not bitter and nasty to people......

It's not always used in a humorous manner. Occasionally it's been used as an insult!
