He actually didn't give himself as a sacrifice. He was going around claiming to be some messiah but did nothing prophesied of the true messiah. So then they had to deal with him like a tank in Waco. Years after his death, ancient, albeit brilliant, men construed the events in a way to benefit their goals. Voila, the greatest story ever told!

I am sorry. I have never heard that he was hiding. Why do you think he was hiding? If you mean that he was in the Garden of Gethsemane, that was NOT hiding. Rather, just the EXACT OPPOSITE. See, He and his Apostles went there very frequently and so it was a place that most people related to Jesus and His Apostles. He went to a place where, if anyone were looking for him (since the Temple was closed at this hour), they would search there first or at least put it in the Top 3 Places to Look. See? He prayed that, if there were any other way, could His Father make that happen instead, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless NOT MY WILL, but Yours, be done." (Luke 22:44 NKJV) He knew what was about to happen to Him...all of it. Who would want to go through with THAT?!?! But He knew it had to be done, so He willingly did it. But He could have-at ANY TIME-said to God that no, he really didn't feel like it after all. But He didn't...for us...for you and for me. The most amazing thing is, he did this "while we were still sinners." (Romans 5:8 NIV/NKJV).

Tell me, where was Jesus hiding? How could He be hiding when He entered Jerusalem with much fanfare just a few days before Him died. The Garden of Gethsemane, was about as hidden as Central Park in New York. Everyone knew this place. Plus He celebrated the Passover and told Judas to go do what He must do. Judas knew exactly where Jesus could be located. Jesus died in the way the was prophesied since the beginning of our world, read the Old Testament. He fulfiled all prophecy. I beg to differ with the guy above me, Christ did fulfill all prophesy, study the OT verse by verse, not pick and chose.

You need to get God's bible, not Tyrone's Word.
You said Jesus was hiding? Or maybe that's the issue. Someone told you this. Ok. Just to clear this issue up for you, Jesus was not hiding. Jesus never did hide, nor did he need to hide. There is nothing in the Holy Bible that says he went into hiding. He walked with God, and went where God led him. Now, the Pharisees tried to capture him during festivals and around in the city, but they failed constantly since it wasn't his time to be caught (from the book of John).
There eventually came a time when he "allowed" himself to be captured by these men. He ended us suffering from the sins of man.

I don't want to be rude, but please stay in one tense in your writing (past, present or future, but not all three at once unless it's on purpose). Ok. Jesus didn't hide. In fact, He did the opposite. He continued doing what He always did. The Roman guard came for Him in the garden of Gethsemane, where He went almost every night that He was in Jerusalem. And Judas (the one who gave Him up to the authorities) WAS one of His companions.
