Whats a pet bog, you mean like a swamp. Sorry couldnt help it. Depends on the dog and you. Do you have the time for a puppy? Older dogs can be just as fun and some are already house broken a big plus. Are you going to adopt a dog from the aspa if so good for you.

A...pet bog? o.o Do you mean dog? And what do you mean by 'too old'? Their life expectancy? Too old to adopt?

Life expectancy for dogs is....
Small dogs: 12 to 16 years
Medium dogs: 12 to 14 years
Large dogs: 8 to 14 years
Giant dogs: 7 to 10 years

Life expectancy tends to be highest in the terriers and lowest in scent hounds and the larger breeds.

And with adopting: they're never too old. As they grow older, it might be a bit harder to train them and a bit harder to assimilate them into your life. Getting an older dog is a very good deed because they tend to be put down since everyone jumps for the puppies.

If you mean 'dog' then there is no bad age to get them. You just have to remember that when they are very young they require a lot of attention, when the are very old they require even more. It is entierly up to you.
