Did you read the verses I posted?
God placed Moses in a cleft of the rock, covered him with his hand until he had passed by.Then he took away his hand, so that Moses can see his back, but not the face.

The verse is implying that it is not possible to view God in all His Glory and Majesty. Moses was able only to view that which his mind was able to comprehend. There is not contradiction in the bible when you compare this to what the New Testament says in John 1:18 - No man hath seen god at any time."

The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.
And ye shall not suffer any unclean thing to come in unto it; and my glory shall be there, and my presence shall be there.

God just didn't want to get a fine for mooning people, so he didn't want to show his face!
edit- ever listen to Skinny Puppy?
On their new CD in the song Ugli, there is a constant repeated lyric (as well as the chorus)- "Jesus wants to be ugly...". (its about using religion in a bad way).

His glory is intense in His face. no man could bear it. even the degree of Moses face that shone, they could not bear it so he hid his face behind a veil.

Your quoting an ancient Jewish document that has little to do with Christianity. I have seen the face of God.

its figurative for you will see a part of my glory, but not all of it.
many times in the Bible it refers to Gods hand, finger, breath, etc.
