Those who haven't heard the true message of Jesus Christ, expressed in the right way, are judged only according to their hearts. (Romans chapter 2).

Those who have heard, and have the chance to accept or reject Him as their spiritual Lord and Saviour, that is their "guru" and more, are also judged by whether they've accepted Him and whether they've come to know and obey Him, or not.

What was the point of you asked a question and then you basically answered it. First of all I don't believe in the devil at all. I stopped that when I was about 9 because I knew that I made my own choices there was no evil force trying to influence me to do this or that. Secondly, I realized what we be God's point in giving us all of these options to choose from, but if we choose half of them which are considered bad, which are usually the choices we all love, then why would he judge or punish us.

No God doesn't judge us at all, and most of the religions that people follow are all based on the same stuff for the most part so why even worry about choosing the wrong one. Secondly just choose the choices that really make you grow and evolve as a person, both mentally and spiritually and you'll be fine. But if you don't God really doesn't care. It's your life he gave it to you for a reason, to do what choose to do, and leave as you please, if not he wouldn't have bothered to create you in the first place and give you free will, so have fun make a purpose for yourself, and don't bother being afraid of what God thinks, he's more interested in what you think.

When in the Bible it speaks of the heart in the context you gave, its not the physical heart, but the seat of the mind Its the region of the mind which holds the emotions of what we call the heart.

We refer to the heart when we love or hate because thats where we feel those emotions and sometimes in the pit of the stomach, but even the people in Biblical times understood it was not the physical heart with which we experience love and emotion.

nicely in case you seem in the bible there is the bit with regard to the sole technique to God is by utilising way of Jesus. Now this could be interpreted as by utilising way of his walk of existence, which in my opinion makes extra sense than in simple terms believing to me. yet a putting a classic that makes advantageous there's a concept in punishment if youin case you do no longer stick to their theory of the doctrine is a extra effective fund raising gadget. faith is all concept even however some will say they have actuality it extremely is faith. many faiths frequently tend to "understand" the mind of God on a similar time as acknowledging no you will as long as this is basic to their doctrine. in my opinion permit pass of the terror of God, in simple terms be. do no longer enable others to limit God for you this is a private experience which could be very relaxing and plenty much less complicated if youin case you raise the veil and function a documents of God is each and every thing collectively with that which isn't. easily positioned no.

I would hope that if there was a God, he would judge us by our hearts, rather than our earthly beliefs.

Both. One's religion is the outward expression of what is held inwardly in the heart.

Please note that by "religion" I am meaning one's actual "way of life", and not one's "professed" religion.
