Actually, this is an example of translation of translations getting mistranslated.

An ACCURATE translation of this passage (Matthew 7:1-2) is judge not or you will NOT be judged. By the measure you judge others, so will you be judged.

To the early Christians, the idea of having their lives judged by someone OTHER than their god was terrifying.

Many Christians don't understand this.

By the way, this is a fairly NEW mistranslation. Even the King James gets it right:
1: Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2: For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

In otherwords, if you judge that others are going to hell, and that others are a sinner, the Christian deity will not judge you based on your life, but hand back what you gave out- thus YOU will not be judged, but will be judged as you have judged others-as a hell bound sinner.

Hay the judging your talking about in Matthew 7 is talking about being critical not Judge as in a court room and it makes NO SCENCE to ask someone to do what GOD HAS SAID "NOT" to do, okay pray about that and even if someone does your to forgive that did you know that, read Matthew 6:14, also in verse 12 the debts Jesus paid for is sin, and He is saying He forgives you "AS" you forgive others so He uses YOUR way of Judgeing folks think about that, free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com God bless
