I don't know if it's just me but it seems that the ones we care for and long to be with never care or even notice us.Other people, that we don't care to impress or make a good impression on,are just crazy about us. I've been married for years but this question has been on my mind for quite some time.I notice this "trend" when it comes to my friends. Sometimes it takes a miracle for things to work out.

The key to your question is the word "infatuated". By definition it is "to be inspired with an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for."
It's all a fantasy of what you "think" they're like... and once you get to know them, most of the time they can never live up to the fantasy.
The ones who take the time to notice others are really the ones that should be worth your attention in the first place.

Well maybe the person you are infatuated with is not the one for you. I've been infatuated with a lot of guys and I'm glad nothing came of it because they would not have been the guy for me.
