There could be, I'm not for certain but in high school, my math teacher told us to remember the trig
functions as two indian chiefs: Chief Sohcahtoa and Chief Choshacao.

SOHCAHTOA:
sine=opposite/hypotenuse
cosine=adjacent/hypotenuse
tangent=opposite/adjacent

CHOSHACAO:
cosecant=hypotenuse/opposite
secant=hypotenuse/adjacent
cotangent=adjacent/opposite

the name is a way of remembering yout trig ratios,but whether it was some one is any ones guess,have you looked on google?
