So, my boyfriend recently broke up with me, and it was a big shock to me, I wasn't really expecting it at all. We've been civil to each other, i think because we were such good friends before we dated. I was starting to get excited about prom, because I thought we would be going together and it would be fun and all that, but now I don't even want to go. My friends are pretty much making me go, and truthfully I kind of want to because it is my senior prom...
So here's the actual question part, I guess.
Should I ask him to take me to prom, just as friends? Or should I wait/hope for him to ask me? I really don't want to ask him. Is there a good way to hint that I'd like to go as friends? Or should I forget the whole thing and stay at home and eat ice cream and watch sappy chick flicks?

Ask him if he has a date for the prom, and if not, if the two of you would should go together just to keep each other company? I wouldn't get my hopes up, I think he might get weirded out by the request, but it never hurts to ask right?

Ask him. when i was a junior in highschool I asked my ex to go to the junior prom with me and we had a blast. Its more fun than going alone...plus it gives you the opportunity to dance with anyone you want and maybe meet soemone new while your there. If there arent any prospects out there, just ask him, i always had more fun at dances when i went with a friend...
