I wanted to know how many men prefer the traditional standard of women staying at home taking care of the house, man, and children? Do men really want submissive women?

I don't equate stay at home moms or wives as being "submissive." I'd like a submissive woman in the sense of one that will work with me on somethings and decisions. I don't want a "doormat" of a woman or a "Yes, dear!!!" woman. How boring!! It's like the old saying goes, "To the degree you are a mirror, you are disposable." (Dr. Henry Cloud)

But I like women with conservative/traditional values! Absolutely!! Women can bring a touch to the home that we guys can't! And being a stay at home mom is such an honorable calling!!! They are the most underappreciated and paid workers on the planet!! They bring so much life to the family! Without them we guys would be lost!!

You are confusing traditional with submissive. Not all traditional woman are submissive - in fact I know quite a few traditional woman who order their husband around.

If you are asking this because you are thinking about this as a life plan, you had better build a safety net. Such as becoming educated and being able to sustain yourself without a man. You don't want to be a traditional woman to someone and then get dumped and have no way to make your own life.

I think men like to be taken care of. I just recently moved in with my bf and he told me from the get go that he wanted a woman that does all that "house wifey" kind of stuff. I never in my life thought I'd be a "wifey" but, I work, cook, clean, organize and basically make sure he's taken care of. I'm not a House Wife, per say... but once kids start popping out, he's believes I should stay home and raise our children. He has traditional beliefs, I share some, not all.... there's always a compromise. Men like to feel important and in charge. The way I see it "the man is the head, but the woman is the neck. And she can turn the head any way she wants."

Some guys do and some don't. Thats why its better to be friends or date a guy before you jump into a relationship with them. Most of the cases where men want you to be submissive, they end up being controlling and abusive. Something that women don't need.

I think there are still some old fashioned guys out there that would prefer that as much as there are women like that. But for the most part, I think modern men really prefer women with their own independance, an equal so to speak.

Some men do and some men do not. I personally love the traditional and submissive woman. I believe it is part of the natural order of things and the way things are meant to be. Men need to step up though and provide good leadership for his wife.

My wife is a bit traditional in her thinking, but I prefer a new age thinking. We have come to a good compromise. She does a lot of the homemaking, but we share in most responsibilities.

Take care,
Troy
