"How dare the created [people] question the creator [god]"

"How dare we question god."

That is most likely the response of a close minded extremist. You don't learn anything if you don't ask questions.

This may reflect the beliefs of the person whom said this to you, however, it does not follow that this is the universal belief of all religious people. We can ask questions - is there a God, who is God ?, what is His character like ?, what has He said ?, how do I get to know more about Him ?, and etc. In fact, many Christians I've known have said that God wants people to find more about Him, to have a relationship with Him, and etc. Hope this helps!

I think it means how dare we question god when he created us? that is like a dog from the pound saying buy better food, clean up this dump, and buy me a mate!

Statements like that are how people who believe in superstitious myths for which there is no evidence try to prevent other people from asking questions that reveal that complete lack of evidence.
They're trying to keep you ignorant and downtrodden. Don't buy into it.
Question EVERYTHING!

Us questioning God is like a piece of clay saying to the Potter, "I don't like what you are creating."

what folks who say that really mean is ...

"how dare you cause my mind to think outside the dogma box in which I am so secure, all knowing and comfy?!"
