Yes! People still do. I am getting mine this week. I want it to be kinda wavy not like really curly. My hair is so straight and flat! BORING! So yea thats what I'm gonna do. I heard it really damages your hair, but so what? Once is not gonna kill. Just remember to condition it with deep conditioner! So it doesn't stay dry and look like hay. lol. ^_^

Yes people still get perms. It does murder on your hair but may people still do it. I also have to say it's about every two months that your hair will have to be redone. Also this factor depends on how fast your hair grows. SO my next thing to you is which style of perm are you wanting and what are you wanting it to do? But perms have never went out of style. It's just now days ladies are starting to see that perms are major on hair ouchies. Also it's no worse than coloring your hair or bleaching it. Just make sure you remember to really condion your hair before you go to get a perm.

Unfortunately yes. There is actually a new kind of perm you can get that makes you look like you hot rolled your hair. I'd go to a higher end salon for that though because if you try to take the cheap way out you might end up looking like a poodle or an old granny.

They do if it looks good on them. Nothing to be ashamed of, that's for sure.
The types of perms or treatments that are more popular these days are ones that use the big-barreled rollers, so you have more of a wave than a full-on curl.
But I say do what flatters you the most. If curly hair looks great on you, go for it. The good thing about it is that it's permanent, so if you want to go straight one day, all you need is a flat iron and a good finishing gloss.

I haven't heard of it in a LONG while.. They damage the hair and leave it all fried and dried looking.. Why don't you just use rollers? Makes more sense.
