we're sure enough to say it. i hate to bring up the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but the question sort of begs for it.
Things would be different if only one person that I knew of believed in some particular god with some particular qualities. That would make more sense; a one to several billion ratio. That is an acceptable approximation of the odds of a particular god existing, to me.

because there is an infinitesimally small chance that there is no God... that is why they are saying that there IS no God.
the thing that worries me is that there is also the same odds that there is a God... so that is why there are a lot of agnostics now
bec. in our own limited capacity we just really don't know... although the right attitude is always to seek out whether is no God or to seek if there is one.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually blind.

We DO know for sure.
There is no god.
There is no tooth fairy.
There is no easter bunny.
There is no humpty dumpty.
There is no peter pan.
There is no santa claus.
All those statements are FACT - because we know those things CANNOT exist - and they were all INVENTED by people.
