I would say within a few months. If you forgot or did not have an opportunity to send something, though a gift at any time would be appreciated. You could send a cute little Easter outfit with a bib that says "My First Easter" or send something for no reason at all with a note saying how you finally had a chance to get a gift off to the newest member of the family.

Anything you send will be appreciated, and besides parents are usually bombarded with newborn - 3 month size clothes so maybe it is a good thing to wait ;-)

Yes, usually within the first year.

If the child is into year two, and you feel obligated, send a birthday card together with a little gift - not a new baby present.

I would say the first six months. Anything beyond that could be seen as somewhat RANDOM. If you forgot to send something.....wait until the first birthday and choose that occasion to CELEBRATE BABY!!

If you are stuck on a gift.....send a diaper cake! Great for babies....and one year old's too!!! Creative, Unique, Memorable, and PERFECT!!!

I make custom diaper cakes designed to match baby's nursery decor or any theme you choose!! Just an idea...check out my site if you are interested!
