I still believe if you go to the airlines' site itself you have several options from day to time to seating etc. I believe it is the most accurate and up to date. Certain days of the week and times are usually the most expensive but if you can be flexible you might get a better rate. Airline rates fluctuate constantly usually but booking ahead of time is usually cheaper then spur of the moment. There is always a hidden fee from the "travel agencies' that is part of the ticket price. I personally prefer to go directly through the airline.

I'm sure Jet blue is giving away airline tickets. Also try Southwest they run deals also. Good luck!

I have found that checking Yahoo Travel's (travelocity) rates, and Expedia.com's rates will almost always find the lowest fare.
