and when do know whether you're "in love" or just love someone?

If you are not happy overall, not just in the heat of a disagreement; If you find yourself compromising things you never thought you would. When you get that little voice in the back of your head saying "this isn't me" that is when enough is enough.
As far as being "in love" or loving someone, that is a tough call.
If you love someone, chances are you won't have sexual feelings for them -- if you are "in love" sex would be a part of the relationship I guess....there really is no "easy" way to know.

If you really love someone, you would never have to ask this question. If you feel like you might have had enough, then you have had enough. You might feel pangs, but that is only because of a fear of letting go of what you know. When you really love someone, you have no doubts, you just know, and even if you get mad as h*** at them, you still always find it in your heart to feel love for them. So many people stay in unhappy relationships because they are so used to having someone around, life is all about venturing into the unknown to find true happiness, and you will know when you have found it.

If you are asking yourself those questions then you know the answer. You're just afraid of change. What would you do if you weren't afraid? By the time you need to ask someone else if you have endured enough, you have already endured too much. As for love... same thing... if you're questioning whether or not you're really in love... you're not.

For me you have it the wrong way round.

'In love' is that heady, whirling excitement when you meet someone new and you fall for them instantly and you want to spend all day every day with them.

This can either fade away, or pop in a moment the illussion shatters and you suddenly go 'urggh what did I ever see in you' or it deepens into the deepest feelings of love when you can stand a day apart but not a life apart when that person is your best friend, the person you most respect, your hero, the person you know you can always turn to no matter what and you realise that the more you know the more you want to know and a lifetime with this person is not enough.

2 questions? Enough is enough when it happens over and over and the learning curve isn't there. Prob now. You know you're in love when it's more then just caring.

Enough is enough when you just can't be bothered anymore.
When you're in love you will just know, you won't need to question it. You can just love someone when you care deeply for them but don't feel sexually attracted to them.
