My suggestion would to first talk to your counselor at school. Legally they cannot tell your parents what you tell them unless you are endangering yourself or others, (which this doesn't seem to be the case.) Tell your counselor about how you are feeling and ask for some tips on bringing this up to your parents. The best way to go about this is not to seek out a magic pill rather talk to your parents about seeing a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist can determine what if any mental illness you may have (bi polar, manic depressive etc) And can determine a proper treatment for you.
Here are a couple sites that might give you some more info:

I hope this helps!

You have to bring it up. Don't feel embarassed about it. There is so much information out there and if you like, bring it up to your regular Dr., he or she can help you. Depression gets worse with time, you don't want to go there believe me. Fix it while you can. If you are uncomfortable with your parents, maybe an understanding Aunt or Uncle 1st. Do get that help though. You'll be glad you did. You'll also do better in everything.

Don't let your depression get any worse, which it will if you don't seek help, you may have a chemical imbalance in your brain that can be fixed with medication. Never feel ashamed about being depressed , if you can't bring yourself to talk to your parents go to your doc. it is all confidential. Wish you all the best

:( I think you just need to go up to them and tell them exactly how you feel! Are they not listening to you? Paying attention to you? If they are not open to you talking, I suggest that you talk to a school counselor (if you are in school) Talk to a trusted elder, maybe someone that knows your parents so that you can get help. Remember also, depressants are not safe for all teens, so please make sure that this is all regulated with a dr.!
Good luck

Well, talk to your parents, sit them down and say that your depression is getting worse and that you need help for it. A professional needs to actually diagnose you with depression and the severity of it to actually give you the medication, so tell them that you need to go to a psychologist or psychiatrist.

Be honest with your parents, and let them know that you think its more then just sadness, because its more persistant. Ask them if they'll help you get into see a pshyciatrist, because you think anti-depresents could help.
If you hit a road block with your parents, maybe you could try your school couseler also, they could possibly refer you to someone.
