Should I mix it up (treadmill, eliptical, bike, stairmaster) a different one each day or should I choose one and stick with it day after day?

Thanks.

Depends on what your goals are. Doing just one thing day in day out can make you crazy, and possibly lead to overuse injuries.

What would you prevent you from doing several in one day? When I'm forced indoors by the weather, I'll change to a different machine every half hour so I'm not abusing the same muscles constantly. 30 min. bike, 30 min. elliptical, 30 minute treadmill, and repeat as many times as I have time for.

I have to mix it up at the gym with my cardio. One day I'll do 15 min on the stairmaster, 15 on the tread and 15 on eliptical. The next I'll do a straight 40 on stairmaster, next I'll do 20 min on tread and 20 on stairmaster.

It just breaks down the a repetitive cycle. I get bored VERY easy at the gym, so I'm always looking for ways to change it up.

Personally, I mix things up at the gym (bike and treadmill one day, stairmaster and rowing machine the next day). I'm not sure if there are any increased health benefits to doing this but it sure provides some much-needed variety to the work-out regimen.
