I think that even if you don't support the war you should at least support the men and women over there. I am so sick of people protesting the war and badmouthing our troops! They are brave and need us to support them.

What do you think??

People who are opposing--and protesting the war--are not "badmouthing the troops." In fact, the whole point is to support the troops--by bring them home instead of losing more lives for a war that should never have been started in the first place.

But get this straight--no one is badmouthing the troops (other than the occasional jerk). Try listening to what the opposition has to say--instead of what Rush Limpballls claims we say.

I hate the war and don't support it, but I support the troops no matter what, my husband is military, and I pray for those soldiers everyday. They are brave, and I have so much respect for soldiers. I have been a military wife for 20 years and I know they train and work hard for all us american people. I'm sure they don't want to be there, but it's there job, and I support the troops 100%, not the war. the troops

AMEN! I too am a 6 year Air Force Veteran and have been a civil servant for over 13 years with the Dept of Veterans Affairs. I see the affects of this war everyday. It is an honor to care for our nation's Veterans.

Supporting our troops is everyone's responsibility. If you enjoy your daily freedoms. American's need to realize that FREEDOM IS NOT FREE! In fact, the only reason that you and I can type our thoughts out in this cyberspace we call the Internet is because of the sacrafices of our military troops.

I wish everyone was as supportive as you.

Almost everyone supports the troops. I haven't heard nearly as many people badmouthing the troops as badmouthing the war and our president. I agree, that badmouthing the troops does nothing to further civil debate on the issue and should not happen.

I am a revolutionist. I believe that we didn't need to clean up Iraq untill we cleaned up the acts of politicians, unworthy welfare recipents, uninformed liberals, ect. in America. this country is going to pot and we're only keeping a dying dog (America) alive longer in Iraq. I do, although, agree with the job our guys are doing over there. We need the same thing in America. The only difference is, if we did, I would be the one your little brother would be shooting at. Dont get me wrong, I would lay down my life for one of our troops, but the same great bunch of people are protecting an evil country that has only digressed from what our forefathers intended. Start a Revolution, destroy then rebuild Washington, put the anti-federalist papers of the post revolution into play, and we'll be fine. Anyway, I hope your lil bro comes home safe. God bless him and his brothers in arms.

I don't read the other responses before I post mine so I may repeat what someone else says...sorry....

~You are completly right! I am against the war, but I know people that are over there and people that are about to go over there. All of those people could have chosen different careers, but they didn't. They chose to put their lives out there for our country! Now, we do have to keep in mind that people have their own opinions and some are going to say different things, but I think we all have hearts and everyone's heart goes out to our troops, their familis and loved ones. Some just show it in a different way!

Amen!
Thank you!
I'm a Veteran of OIF3, and nothing irks me more than people who jump around with their little picket signs preaching about how terrible the military is! I don't care that you're protesting. Hello, we live in the US don't we? But it seems to me that they're not just protesting the war- they're protesting the people who make it poss. for them to protest the war.

We're doing our jobs the best way we know how and to constantly see people protesting outside of bases makes a rough job even harder.

Whether or not the war is correct of not we should be supporting our government and the men and women in the services of it. If we don't support our country we prove only weakness that can be taken advantage of by others including the UN.

I am against the war, I do protest the war, but I protest in the name of bringing our boys home and to the end of them dying for no reason.

Think whatever you want.
