According to Christians, who are forced to rationalize the problem of evil daily, if God so much as saves a single murder victim it would create utter chaos throughout the universe. Unless, of course, the victim manages to escape on their own, then praise be to God!

Evil does not serve God's purpose. Again and million times, you humans choose evil over good and then act upon the evil thought. You have a choice to yes and no, I will and I won't, I can and I cannot, I want to and I don't want to. Evil begins with a thought, then a plan that is put into action. Humans do this all the time. I will kill you - I won't kill you. It is choice!!!! God's mercy and patience can cause something good to come from evil-doers.

Believe it or not, evil does serve God's purpose.
The depth of it is unfathomable.
I have a little mind, a limited intelect.
How can I grasp something so big?
He Himself said:
Isa 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.
Isa 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
What more can I say.

What would you do if I told you God saves hundreds every day?
And that the victims, being so close to death, thank God themselves.
