Where do you feel man stands in relation to God?

Ken E., you say "depends" but I see your real answer as "innocent" if you look at God as a monster.

Enigma21, will you be responding to Solafide55's staunch support of Calvinism and invitation to prove him wrong?

Spiritually, blind, deaf, and dumb.

Total utter depravity.

If you want the thousands of verses that say so email me and I will forward them on.

I would like to see a verse to the contrary though.

PS: I'm not a Calvinist and do not hold to every single part of T.U.L.I.P.

EDIT:

Enigma:

Chapter and verse for the following please:

"Human nature is wounded. We can still choose the good but there is an inclination towards evil."

Depends on the man, depends on the god. If you are talking about the one in Exodus etc then people are about equal or slightly better, that god was a monster of genocide, "homophobia", and had bad issues with women and an obsession with a wierd form of purity. Actually somewhat similar to Hitler. Probably Moses talking. And for Lokasenna's benefit, Odin does not shape up too well either.

Original Sin entered through Adam. Human nature is wounded. We can still choose the good but there is an inclination towards evil. Evil holds an attraction for human nature. Human nature is not innocent, that is heresy. Calvinism is also heresy and unbiblical. Human nature is not completely corrupted. It is wounded, not totally depraved.

Our righteousness is like filthy rags (menstral cloths) to God.
That sounds pretty bad to me.
