They have very large egos and are often insecure.

God has the entire universe as his domain; why would one species on one inconsequential planet matter to him in the slightest? Why would he invent a heaven and hell just for that one species? Why would our sins matter to him; why would he care?

Because (most) people need an answer. If you ask enough questions eventually you'll come to the question of existence. God just happens to be the easiest answer, it's the answer to end all answers. Why are we here? God, Who made the universe? God, Why is my dog humping my leg? Because it is... God's will.

It's so much easier to answer a question with something that can't be proven than to admit that you truly don't know. The human race is too proud to admit that we'll never know what's going on, and that we're not the kings of the universe. God is the simplest solution to a problem that we as humans will never comprehend.

Pagans believe there are many gods looking after every element of life, which is a much nicer idea than the one god (who actually seems a bit mean!). However, I believe in nature. If people want me to say "I worship the god of nature", fine. Doesn't matter how you put it, but I don't believe we were all created by god, along with the whole universe, in 6 days! That's just silly...

We don't assume that He is only looking out for the human race. God is on the Throne with His administration hard at work. We are just a piece of the pie. Remember He is ruling Heaven as well but we aren't in our spirit form yet nor in Heaven so we deal only with the human aspect right now.

In the beginning, man was lonely - and hated the things he could sink down to, so he created a God in his image. As the god grew in complexity, he attempted to describe all the questions his peers would ask him about this god, and the world with a set of stories.

He could not explain the bones of these great creatures, which had existed, long before he had, so he invented dragons and monsters to justify them.

As his knowledge of the natural world grew, so he amended the story to fit the world he saw, and soon his stories became classic tales, that everybody accepted. And they told his story far and wide.

Problem was that the story was not unique, but one of hundreds of competing stories, all similar. So the followers of each 'theory' would defend it against the followers of other theories. Three of the stories grew very big, and were a kind of Trilogy, but the followers of the first book denied the sequels, and the followers of the second book, tried to wipe out the followers of the other books with holy wars. The followers of the third book tried to convert all to the third book.

In the end, the followers became so blind to the world about them - that when science evolved - and a good theory to explain the world, they clung onto their old superstitions. Many ranting chapter and verse of the good book - rather than using their brains to accept or even judge the new material.

The story even tried to develop sudo science to make the actual facts seem less important, anything to get back to the old beliefs, as they were starting to feel lonely again. They even tried to invent theories to describe dinosaurs, when they could no longer ignore them!

Truth is what a con man will try to hood wink you with, it’s a word invented by religions. Fact is the scientific equivalent, and unlike truth is not subjective, but can stand on its own, and is supported by physical evidence that does not require a leap of faith. Scientology is sudo science - false facts - lies, perverted half-truths to try and justify the bible and a lot of additional strange beliefs. The bible is a creation of man, and thus is only written for man, not any other so called creations... bit of an oversite, needs re-editing again.

your right people allways ask the same stupid questions,

If god is so good then why is there so much evil and death in the world.

Why dont people go and search the answer instead of keep asking questions then leaving it. Good places to look would be in any holy book, torah, bible, quran, They all say that life is a test and you will go heaven or hell so it doesnt matter how good someone is or at what age or how they die, its all about passing the test.

`He` also looks after the smaller creatures that he created. Fleas, Rats, Tapeworms, Bacteria, Viruses, and countless human parasites and diseases. These wonderful works of creation pose a dilemma for the `caring` God myth. Do not attempt to understand what I have posted - go directly to the thumbs-down button.

I think a lot of people want to believe that there is more to life than what we have now. Some people feel they need to blame someone for things that happen. Others really feel there is a God.

i be live that religion as a whole is a system within society that uses power of fear to control. you only have to look at how religions get started. even Christianity was started with war! ancient religions changed all the time and if the people didn't follow they were killed, in every culture around the world.
