Slow down your eating, always chew the food well and be sure to drink between mouth fulls. You need to gradually reduce the amount you are eating which will allow the stomach to gain back its proper shape and size Eating a lot of a regular basis stretches it like a saggy balloon.

Slowing down while eating helps with the digestion but I'm not sure if it actually helps you feel full faster. I find I tend to eat more when I eat slower (which is not what I want). It does take a while for the stomach & the brain to connect that you are full so just eat a properly proportioned meal and wait the 20 minutes or so to see if you really do need anything else.

Have a large glass of water with a couple of fiber tablets about a half hour before your meal to help fill the tummy beforehand if you feel you are overeating.

You need to eat slower chewing your food longer and talking more. You sound like you eat too fast and your body doesn't have a chance to tell you when it is full. Also just because you can eat a lot doesn't mean you should. You do not have to eat until you are full just eat a normal amount of food whether you feel full or not. Once you have eaten only a normal amount of food get up and walk away from the table. You are the only one who can control how much you eat.

I have heard that it takes about 20 minutes for our brain to relize that our belly is full. If you are at home try eating half of what is on your plate. Leave the table and if you still feel hungrey after this time finish your meal. Once you do this a few times you will see the portion size that you should be eating to get full.

Believe it or not, eat slower.

I was a fast-eater for a long time because I have a busy schedule, and I would always just scarf down food. When I came home for dinner, I would do the same thing, and tyhen down a bunch of snacks after that to fill myself up.

After a while, my boyfriend told me to just slow down, and it actually worked. It takes your body a while to recognize foods and break them down, so wait at least an hour after eating to see if it works for you.

If it's not that simple for you and you still feel hungry, try to eat more lean protiens, as they fill you up and keep you full longer. Do you tend to eat a lot of carbs? Carbs make you hungry after only a little time has passed.

Also, look at your diet overall. Do you eat foods that are bad for you and nutrient-deprived? Foods that are healthier tend to keep you fuller, longer. Do you consume a lot of sugar, especially soda? If so, cut that from your diet. You'll feel better, and probably drop a few pounds (sugar packs on the pounds like crazy).
