It's confusing, I know. So, I understand your questioning. It is still hard for me to grasp. They are, in one way and different in another. They are different because Jesus is God's son. God is God. And the Holy Spirit is God talking to you, and his presence being there even though he isn't really there like you could see him. They are the same because they are all perfect and holy.

They are all part of the God head. God the Father is Jehovah and is spirit. God the Son is Jesus , who came to earth in the flesh. God the Holy Spirit is the one sent when Jesus went back to heaven. The Holy Spirit is a comforter, teacher and convictor of sins.

God is triune, meaning 3-in-1, commonly called the trinity-you have God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; all one in essence, and all the same God, but different in their functions and offices (works).

When you know the second (Jesus) personally, you have all 3, dwelling within you. If not, you will never even begin to understand, and will end up where the page below shows. I pray you won't just ask questions, but ask for forgiveness!

They are one in Spirit as we are in the One Spirit if we trust in Jesus, that He died and arose again in order to purchase our salvation. They are separate in the fact that Almighty God is the Father and Jesus is His Only begotten Son.Read John 3-16. Also read 2nd Peter 1-16-17......For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye witnesses of His majesty. For He received from the God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory;"THIS IS MY BLESSED SON IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED." Please read John 14-16-26. Pay close attention to all this to decide about the Holy Spirit, especially verses 25- 26 which says, "These things I (Jesus) have spoken to you while being present with you,"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and will call to remembrance all all things that I said to you." Also read John 16-6-13, Pay close attention to verse13 which says, "However when He , The Spirit Of Truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. Read verse 7 of John 16, which says, " Never the less I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart I will send Him unto you.

Yes, just think of it like this, you have a body, a soul and a spirit. That is it. The Father(soul), Christ(God becoming flesh), The Holy Spirit(The Spirit man of Christ) Christ left with us when He went to sit on the throne at the right hand of God.

God- Genocidal freak that murdered every living creature on earth once
Jesus- Nice jew that taught others to love and to not be judgemental. He was never mentioned in any public record.
Holy Spirit-The thing people feel is part of them when they walk with christ

Now yes the bible says they are one in the same. But the bible was written by man part of it ages ago and the other part 100 years after the death of Christ. The bible is like giving each of your family memebers a pen and telling them to go in a room and pray and then to just start writing. It is a book of lies and contradictions covered with blood. There is no such thing as god stop before you do serious damage to your mental compacity.

Read the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins
Or just think about why an all knowing god would suddenly change his mind on murder.

sure, we call it the Trinity. The Bible explains 3 because of the fact the comparable God. It additionally tells us that God is Spirit and an all-ingesting hearth. We could see God as Jesus to surely see with our eyes, because of the fact God because of the fact the all-ingesting hearth might burn us up. The Holy Spirit is the element of God that is composed of stay interior us as quickly as we settle for Jesus as our Savior. The Bible purely explains those 3 entitites of Almighty God, yet because of the fact the Bible says His techniques are greater than our techniques i'm confident we purely comprehend what God needs us to comprehend approximately Him. he's a Holy God and righteous and in basic terms and He loves us. and there is lots we don't comprehend, yet we are going to comprehend as quickly as we meet Him.

It depends on what religion you are referring to I am sure that you are thinking of Christianity. In Christianity and it's many domination's, yes. God, Jesus and the Holy spirit are one in the same and the all exist at the same time.

However, the LDS church (mormons) belive that they are not one, but three seperate beings.

There are many fine answers here so here's my thoughts.

Yes. They are just three manifestations of how God fellowships himself with believers and interacts with man in general. A simple analogy of the trinity manifestation is with me: 1) I am the father to my sons 2) I am a husband to my wife and 3) I am a son to my parents.

There are parts of the scripture where they appear separately and at one time. But that is only a witness to the unity of the Godhead. In fact in Jesus Christ rests all the Godhead bodily.

I hope this helps you a little bit. adios.
