My friend has leukemia (She has 9months left off her treatment), she had lost hair her, but has grown back now, she looks like a young Demi Moore.
She really likes this boy, but is scared on how he will react, ive told her to text him, as she has his number, but she says that a silly idea.
Does anybody else have any other ideas that she could try out?

Hiya

Your friend is plainly gorgeous - but her treatment may make her lack a sense of confidence in herself (understandably).

Why don't you text the boy and say you have a lovely friend (but don't say who it is) who may like to go out for a drink with him, but she is a bit unsure of the reaction, so you thought you would sound him out first.

If it is positive tell her to text him and admit you've done a bit of behind the scenes matchmaking!!

Best of luck

She should talk to him, get to know him, explain about her leukemia cos at the mo that is huge part of her life. Take it slow. Why doesn't she want to text? Cos the hair loss? Hair grows back! She should go for it if she's really keen but maybe if they dont know each other so well, then they should start as friends first. If the fact she's ill is stopping him from wanting to take things further than friends - then she should look for someone more mature

Their is no right answer or wrong answer to your question, just to say.
My advice would be to arrange a nite out knowing that this guy will be their ,have a few drinks and chat, simple as that,,,your friend has,or,is going through a very traumatic time,,,they need someone understanding and considerate of thier needs thanks

What's wrong with texting? Just say hello, what are you doing, nothing big.

Life...it's the things you DON'T do that you eventually regret. Life is also about risk and chance...

Go For it!!

Tell her to call him and to set up a lunch date. Txting is for the girl on the side...

Anyways, he'll be impressed (no matter how he reacts on the phone).

Life's too short to worry about rejection. Tell her to go for it 100%. If she's battled cancer, she can do anything. We can all learn a little from your friend.

Give her a lot of compliments and make her feel great about herself. Maybe you should talk to the guy for her.

Texting sounds cool nowadays so what harm is she doing she could even e-mail him if she had his e-mail address
