Flavour enhancers bring out the flavour of the food....The chinese use it a lot, especially Mono sodium Glutamate.
They are listed as E on the packets and really unhealthy for you.

Leave well alone......

if you see mono sodium glutanate on a packet/tin its a flavour enhancer.or msg as its sometimes listed!!
