NY Golfer, thanks I just saw it posted on espn. That's bad news. Hope he gets better soon. He's on my fantasy team.

On the tee, I believe it was the twelfth, at the top of his backswing he heard a camera shutter click . He tried to hold up his downswing but he pulled a muscle by stopping so quickly. When he stepped back up to the ball he couldn't swing so he went off to the examination tent where the physician diagnosed him with a pulled rib. Needless to say he is pretty ticked at the fan who took the picture, and he mentioned something about the PGA needing to crack down on fans on the course with cameras.

Daly withdrew after suffering what was announced as a rib injury on the 12th tee, his third hole of the day. He tried to stop his swing when he heard a fan's camera clicking, tried to hit another tee ball, said he couldn't handle the pain and went off to seek treatment in the tour's medical trailer. He declined comment.
