It seems like every Mexican I encounter I have trouble understanding, it's like "No hablo ingles." What a joke, how did these people get here and how can we get to deport them and all their babies back to mexico? seriously

Good question..
First off, your name isnt Huachita and are not from an indian tribe... so you or your family were immigrants too.

Second, Mexico is not that terrible and is visited by more americans than any other country.

Third, I suppose you have never left this country? If so does that automatically make you trash for not knowing their language?

Fourth, Learning another language is not something that can be accomplished over night.

Fifth, Open up your mind hitler. Closed minded people such as yourself are the only ones that need to be deported..

Peace.... And by the way, your son or daughter will one day marry an immigrant and bang them without stop....

They got here by crossing the border, often as a visitor. You don't have to deport them, just require proof of legal worker status from all employers. About 90% would just leave without an income. Don't worry, it won't happen. Congress is bought and paid for by business and business wants cheap labor. So they will build walls to convince voters that they are really tough on immigration. Meanwhile every child born to illegal immigrants is a legal U.S. citizen. Soon they will out number us and won't need to learn English, we will have to learn Spanish.

Um wow. Can you say racist?? When they go back to Mexico, you should go back to Czechoslovakia okay??
This is a country OF immigrants, I don't think it would do you wrong to try to learn another language. I am Mexican and I am fluent in both languages. It shouldn't matter to you how I got here, and I am proud of my country because even though it has a corrupt government, the people there aren't racist and ignorant like you and at least they have a heart.

He could be faking.

They can be quite devious.

More than likely, though, they are afraid of their own people. Many Americans here are quite corrupt. They stand to gain something from human traffic.

Just think of the term ' Coyote.' What they call these people who help them get across successfully; and - guaranteed. A coyote is a gray furred animal. The term
' Coyote Trap' - Prevalent in the southern states where venality and corruption are quite prevalent. Where you try to entrap an older man, for whatever reason, or woman, with a young person.

Gray - Synonymous with age. Coyotes - possibly an old established network of grayed old corrupt types who've been making something off this type of thing for quite some time. Knowing just where to place such people and the like. Having been in that propitious location over time dispelling any official
' notice. ' Grooming younger criminals to take their place. With a wafer thin veneer of legitimacy or respectability.

Here's where the thinking should be - not loud rhetoric. Leave that to sissified old men who thing they're still 17 sporting a moustache, dark glasses, and ballcaps. Like C - Bass in " Dumb and Dumber " - Hope this helps.

I worked in Chihuahua, Mexico for six months . in 1999. our company was contracted to install the electrical control systems on high speed conveyors. these conveyors came down in the big push to close all american factories and move them to mexico. This factory was Champion Athletic Wear. Right next door to the Ford and John Deere plants.
I had to get a Mexican work visa with my picture on it. And you sure better have it on you if their immigration people came by the factory..When i worked there, i went to a one hour spanish class every nite, because you just don't walk in to a store there and start asking for stuff in English..I felt like if i knew some spanish, or at least tried, it would be better for me..and it was.

Most of the Mexicans i met there were well educated, polite, and seemingly genuine people...
The majority of the Mexican that sneak in to the US are illiterate. They hardly know their own language much less ours. The educated workers in Mexico can't wait for the idiots to leave. Their gov't feels the same way...

Mexico to me was reasonably safe then, although now its become a kidnapping hotbed...not enough money in the world for me to go back

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

That is what the Statue of Liberty says... it doesn't say anything about learning the language. Not that I don't agree with you about immigrants learning the language of their new home country (I live in a Germanic speaking country and I AM learning the language - I feel stupid in a lot of situations, but it does take time to learn - and I have a thick American accent, which makes it hard for people to understand my German sometimes). My great-grandparents learned to speak English flawlessly (but could not read or write it).

I agree with some of the comments that say that the people are too busy working their low-income jobs that Americans are too proud to do or would want much more money for. I agree that you probably have not left the US and you know ONLY English (like many Americans), and I agree that you could take some time out of your life to help someone out, be patient while trying to speak to someone who doesn't speak English, and open your mind about the plight of immigrants.

America, as we know it, was founded on immigration. There are still some people from other countries who seek the American Dream. As long as the people are good citizens and try to be good people, then what is wrong with it?

I have really strong OPINIONS on this, but that doesn't really help anything. As to getting here, we encourage it by giving illegals jobs, taking there money for housing utilities without proper ID cause of greed. But they're people too we can't let them go without Satellite TV. And if your born here you are a citizen of the US and since we cant have babies with no parent's they all stay.
Humanity what a conundrum.

They come here so you and your family don't have to pick oranges for your OJ in the morning. Sure they can't speak English, but I know my ancestors didn't speak English either when they came over. Spanish is easy to learn, and Mexican people are nice. Plus they have great food. By the way, Mexico aint so crappy any more, with the resort buildups and the clean up they can brag now that they have some of the cleanest water in the world.

They come here to do the work that we don't want to do. And there is space because a lot of our workforce is going indoors, so let them come work, that's what our ancestors came to do.

Too busy working to learn English? That´s one of the most ridiculous excuses I´ve ever heard on here.

My husband is currently learning English in Mexico and has time to work full-time Monday through Saturday AND attend his 3-hour English classes 5 days a week without fail. If something´s worth the time, you MAKE the time.

A lot of Mexicans do speak and know the English language but won't speak it if they don't want to. Saying they DON'T know or SPEAK the language doesn't make it true.

*shakes head at Pamela*
*sigh*

Many of them are not in school to learn, their children are depended upon to cover the communication gap. I don't find myself in many social situations where I can not communicate with Mexican people, because the ones I have socialized with are fluent in English.

Body language is very clear to the ones I have had negative social experiences with, and they get my point.
