I'll be going to the University Of Rhode Island!! :) Any who i was talking to some people through that facebook network and the one girl really wants to room with me. The problem is that she is 17 and she wants the all girls dorm. I don't mind i guess....I told her i would dorm with her out of the spur of the moment sort-of thing...now the problem is i really want to room with this other girl she's so nice i mean they are both REALLY NICE but me and this other girl get along better and we actually live right near each other so if like either of us wanted to go home from college we could car-pool or whatever! What should i do? Should i ask the girl i already said i'd room with if we could triple? i am not sure what to do please help!

I would go with the girl that lives near you, but suggest the ALL rooming thing first. just tell the other girl that you had a change of plans....

GOOD LUCK

Well, if you are rooming with someone, just remember youhave to be able to really get along. You are going to be together a long time. Make sure its someone you feel comfortble with. If they have triple, that would be ideal, if the first girl is willing. If not, you sound like you could get along better with the 2nd girl. I would tell the first girl just what you have said here. That you know her already and she is a friend of yours and would she mind if you roomed with her instead. Do it soon so girl #1 can find another roomate. good luck

Well sweetie...i had a similar dilema...lol.My first year at San Diego State. I had two girls that i had a choice to dorm with. I didn't want to hurt any ones feeling..but there was one girl that i was more compatible with we just "clicked" and we both came from. Sacramento so when we would go home we would Car-Pool. I think that a triple in a dorm gets to crowded...been there done that.Go with the one that lives close to you...it sounds like you two would "click " and have more in common....just think your going to be living with this person so make a good decision. Good Luck :-).

this is college, real life, go into it with what you want, not what you think you should do, room with the one that you want, you owe nobody any explanations, just tell the other one now so that you have given her appropriate time to find another roomie. If she asks "why"..tell her straight up what you said.. you live by one another and can carpool home when you want. If other gal doesnt understand it..then tough and she has alot more rude awakenings than this comming her way.. welcome to adulthood..it all starts now. If there is something you want sweetie, ask for it and demand it.. it will make you a stronger person. do not be a follower, be the leader. get what you want.

well i would ask her to do the triple thing and if not then maybe have another girl that would room with her so you dont leave her out in the dust

but try to be really nice about it and say my friend needs a roommate and maybe we could triple and if not then just tell her the truth that you guys live next to each other and its better for you

Ask to all live together if you want or just tell her the truth that you rather live with the other girl because of the reasons you stated above don't be scared that someone else might be upset because you think you've found something better that will suit your needs. if u want to strive to find and have the best things for life and your education then do it.

The only thing you can do is ask. And if she says no then oh well for her. You sound like a smart guy, I mean I hope you know what to do. And it doesn't stop from visiting you, and it doesn't stop you form chating on facebook with her.

Be a woman of your word. Remember you generally get sick of the people you live with anyways. Now you have a friend you live with and a friend you can go out with. Remember your reputation is everything. GL. And Congrats on getting into the U.
