It's important to say that tinnitus is a symptom and not a disease. Some people will have tinnitus because their Cochlea is damaged. And in a few, it could be caused due to hearing loss. But of course, the most common cause of tinnitus is exposure to loud noises. The noise can be a sudden burst, or it could be a constant banging that hits the ear drum and travels inside.
A good guide you can read about tinnitus and some good natural remedies can be found here: http://tinnitus.toptips.org

No cats are not suppose to nor are they meant to eat spiders. Some cats will while others wont and you should not encourage your cat to eat any type of bug.You never know if the spider is posionous. All the time you took to point out to your cats that there is a spider crawling around and the time you took to type your question you could of had it squished with a shoe by now.

Kittens will tend to chase spiders a lot more than ful grown cats. Once they figure out that something bites, they'll think twice about chasing it. When cats eat spiders they ted to throw them up. The exoskeleton gets caught in their throat and they hack them up. I live in Florida, and we have big big spiders. I have a few cats, and they will sometimes chase them, but the spiders are usually fast enough to get away and hide in some small space that teh cats can't get to. SO... I just shoot them with a bb gun. It's much more fun. Always impresses my wife when I'm able to shoot a big, scary spider from across the room and kill it with one shot!

We have a lot of fields behind our house and we get loads of ''monster spiders'' especially in the autumn.
Luckily we also have an 11month Bengal who not only kills spiders but then devours them afterwards. He is also fantastic at catching flies, but we have to keep an eye on him as he also chases bees and wasps and would eat those too given half a chance.

All 4 of my cats hunt and kill spiders, they go crazy if there is one on the ceiling they cant get to and will knock everything down trying to get to it.. they also kill and eat wasps, houseflies, moths, mosquitos, crickets etc etc any insect in my house is a dead one if the cats or even the dog see them. Maybe your cats are just lazy..lol
PS my cats never puke up the insects they eat, not even the huge crunchy crickets, and yes insects are part of a small cats natural diet in the wild.

My cats always used to catch spiders but it's not particularly a "cat thing". From the look of your picture you shouldn't be terrified of anything. Now as the worlds biggest arachnaphobic I will have to go and lie down to get over typing "that word"!

Probably just well-fed. (I'm not suggesting starving them) Maybe you can get a friend to take care of it. I had mice a while back & my cats didn't touch them. If you're in S FL I'll come over.
