You have to remeber that the enemy at one time was a favorite angel. However freedom of choice caused a division. God loved him so much that he gave him the option to decide and gave him the desire of his heart even though that ment they would not be together.

God does not hate it's just he has to follow through with his word. And it's simple you either love Him and serve or you follow the world. Hot or Cold.

It's about choices He didn't choose for him the enemy did.

All the enemies of GOD will be cast down to hell.

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels:

So better be a friend of GOD like Abraham.

James 2:23 and the scripture was fulfilled which saith, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness; and he was called the friend of God.

God loves everybody. That's why in the Bible it is written that "God is love", mind you, it is not "God loves", but God is love! It is his nature.(1 John 4:8). He loves His friends and also His enemies. That's why Jesus commanded us to love our enemies, and to follow His footsteps because He has given us an example in everything. The opposite is the devil, He is the "father of lies and murderers".
And the Bible also says that when we were His enemies, or sinners rebelling against Him, He loved us so much that He was willing to die for us in order to redeem us from death or destruction. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

The only enemy God has is Satan, and that's because Satan wants to harm us, His children. God loves all His people, and looks at them as His children. As His children, He does punish us when needed, because He loves us so much, and wants us all to make it to heaven.

God does not see anyone as his enemy, he just sees ones that have not chosen to believe in him yet.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
