The problem with Families and society in general can be summed up in one word...SELFISHNESS. Everyone is out for themselves and screw anyone who gets in their way! The days of people stopping to help someone in need even though they don't know said person are out the window a long time ago. Show some respect and compassion for other people, and maybe someone will do the same for you. I haven't talked to my brother in 4 years because I was of no more use to him. Turns out he used me my whole life just to make my mom mad. She knew he was a bad influence and that is the only reason he ever did anything with me. So when I asked where he was when my baby girl was about to die, he got mad at me for thinking he would be there. That's when I found out what he was really like Feel the love baby.

i agree with you but i don't think loyalty is thr right word i think very many families are united nor respect each other as the should be. I have a sister which i can say is the only person in the world i hate, she let my baby nephew die at 8 weeks old of pneumonia and i was there to find him,i have a gay brother who refuses to see me and has never met my 2 children,my mum has never sat on the ground once in 2 years to play with her grandchildren and i have a brother which says hi and bye to me so i feel the same way i don't get any respect loyalty from my family nor are we united.

when you say family loyalty it makes me think of the corleone's.
but i think i know what you mean. we pretty much stick up for one another unless once of us has done something nearly unforgivable.in a case like that, i won't lie for the person or give an alibi. thats not to say we don't still love each other it just means wrong is wrong and i won't bail you out.

One of my girlfriends is totally disrespectful with her mom. She basically married a guy who is in his 30's she was just 19 even though her mom told her not to do it. I don't talk to her anymore but I see her mom still and I always make sure to say Hi when I see her and give her hug. She was always really cool to me growing up and I always wanted a mom like her. And to see my friend treat her mom so bad really hurts.

oh yeah, so many people who I really care and cared about have been very disloyal. I think loyalty died with those who had it and it went into the grave with them.
