You know it's got its pros and cons. For shy people it is great b/c you are matched with people. However, it doesnt leave much room for contacting those you aren't QUITE compatable with and it doesn't leave room for opposites attract.

I have 2 friends currently on eharmony and neither is having any luck with it. One is very religious and because of such has gotten responses from very religious people, many of whom have no tolerance for the fact that she has been divorced. Once the relgious guy finds that out, he has no more desire to communicate.

A male friend that is signed up with it dislikes all the steps. You are told who is compatable with you but then you have a 3 part thing. You answer some more questions, eharmony controls communication and then finally in step 3 you are allowed open communication to call each other or whatnot. So if you don't check it frequently, or are compatable with someone who doesn't check it frequently--it could be weeks and weeks before you are able to talk to the compatable person.

My female friend got around 20 matches and only about 5 have gone to open communication. My male friend has only gotten about 5 matches, only 1 went to open communication. Both are rather upset about the money.

In my opinion neither of those is really enough weekly matches to try to get together and meet people. And the distance is a problem. A lot of the matches are so far away.

But I dont know--it still sounds cool to me. I wonder if the people I had great relationships with, if they were on eharmony and I was on eharmony if the computer would set us up.

All in all, I doubt it's worth your money.

I was a member on eharmony and had no luck. They don't let you contact those that are not your best match. It is also very expensive. There are many other sites that are just as good.

Just a heads up, you would probably have more success posting this question in another topic since it's not about cruise travel. ANYWAY...Eharmoney was a waste of money and very expensive. They usually over free month memberships from time to time so try it then. Otherwise check out one of the other sites. I know two people who married each other off Match.com.
