at least halfway down the upper arm. i consider that long. because between that point and the shoulders i would call "medium length", and above the shoulders is "short".

Most of the time when I tell people they have long hair, it's at least a little past the shoulders [at least]. But Most of the time there are people with hair in the middle of there back, which some people consider really long.

I think it depends on the person because some people look like they have shorter hair and some people longer hair, really depends on the shape size length of the persons head and neck. I think there body height would make a difference too

I'm a cosmetology student and the hair is considered long once it reaches or passes ones shoulders.

I think for hair to be considered long, you have to be able to "mermaid" with it. It has to be able to come past the bottom of your bra in the front.

Most stylists I've gone to (with my hair to my behind) were shocked and said that IS long, I thought you meant to your shoulders or mid-back!
I guess if its to your neck or longer its "long", I'd say if its past your shoulders its long and if its past your mid-back its VERY long!

HOLY COW shoulder length hair is NOT long. I say if it can reach your bra strap on back then its long... Mine is like down to my waist and it makes me mad when girls with short hair say its long. I dont know why. So pretty much bra snap length.

Below your shoulders. Short is collar length, Medium is shoulder length.

long enough that if you were topless youd have a bit of dignity i think. yeah, nipple length, i know that sounds really odd, but i think thats when its long lol
i think that your hair length souldnt exceed a quarter of your height. it just looks bad. i think tyra banks said that, i cant remember.
